Im with the band: Hale, Spongecola, Rocksteddy

DAY 1

I'm loving OPM bands again.
Well, I've always been attached to OPM bands since I'm on my highschool years but on the long run I also kinda forgot and transpose my likings to RnB and Classical music, even broadway tunes. I know it's kinda off beat and so not me but I guess that's not the point of my entry.

At exactly 12 noon on the 22nd day of August me and my friend Katie went to a local radio station (Wild FM) to meet Spongecola. The manager of the station was our family's friend and their kids we're my friends so thanks a bunch to them for this wonderful opportunity.

We were told that the band will arrive at 2pm and we were kind of early. And so, we waited. They were late, I guess this happens a lot especially to a band like them. The band Rocksteddy were the first ones to arrive and they headed directly to the booth to be inteviewed. after the interview, Katie and I though not a fan of them had our pictures taken with them. Teddy and the rest of the bands were so funny and nice, I've learned that Teddy, and the rest of the band, wwere actually christians.

And so, a while later, the spongecola arrived. I wasn't nervous, or anything, because I saw them before already, just a bit giddy. Yael is so cute! The first thing that came to my mind was "I love his jacket!" haha. I also noticed that Chris, their drummer wasnt there. And then after a short while, we then had our pictures taken with them (Yael and I almost had the same height. He's just a few inches taller) and then they were interviewed. While they were interviewed we entered the room and took pictures of them. haha.

After that was their motorcade, we joined them. haha. I dont know if they noticed or what they were thinking after seeing us going with them but they were still friendly.

Were came back to school to fetch up the rest of our friends o watch the concert later. And gawd were we hesterical talking to them.

Anyway, before the concert Cass and I gone to the fair to take some rides. We only took one, the octopus and Ive had enough. I dont know wnhy we even paid 20 pesos just to be twirling around and puke later on. Anyhow, moving on, lets fast forward it to the actual concert. The manager of Wild FM gave us VIP tickets so we were at the very front of the crowd. And we had seats while the rest of the crowd were standing. haha. There were 2 local bands that played then followed by Spongecola. And it was another rockin' concert made by the very best OPM band ever. We got freebies like SC keychain, caps, baloons (which doesnt count. lol) It was one of the best night ever!

DAY 2

The following day I went again to their station to again meet one of the best bands in the Philippines, Hale. We, ate Arce and I, arrived there while they were interviewed and then after that we again took our pictures with them and even introduced me to Champ and the rest of the band (Champ is so cute!). Later on, TJ, Roxine, Wild FM managers childrens, and Ate Weng, their mom, told me to join them on their lunch with Spongecola and Hale. Damn was I excited. I brought Joco, ate Arce, Paola and Joanne (which doesnt count coz she had gone early) with me. Hale were the only ones their, they told us Spongecola will be arriving late. So tehre, we normally just had lunch and then later Spongecola the arrived. We just watch them eata dn waited for them to finish for us to have our pics taken again. And God were they so takaw. We waited long and then took our pic's again. lol I guess Yael already recognized me since Ive been following them since the day before.

After that, we the have to go because we had our different appointments and I have a class at 1:30pm.

There was a concert of Hale later on at 7pm but I wasnt able to go. My dad wont allow me to go. Talk about killjoy. But I wasnt hard headed, I followed them directly. i dont know what got into me but maybe I was thinking that 2 days with the best bands, with my 2 most favorite bands, I think is fairly and completely enough for me.

The best pre birthday gift ever. Thanks to the Monterde family. To my friends who gone with me and to Hale, Spongecola & Rocksteddy. You made my day!

Definitely the best experience for a band-junkie. :]

Seven Things

Today, this girl doesn’t just feel like talking about herself. She also feels like talking TO herself. Which basically means she’ll be asking and answering her own questions—think of it as FAQs, except the query and response will be coming from the same party. Which basically means she’s a strange, strange person you probably shouldn’t be reading about if you wish to make this day a productive one, but you know you will anyway.

Why do you write about yourself in the third person?
Because it’s fun. You should try it sometime.

How was your weekend?
Great, thanks. On Friday night, my friend and I walked in the rain for 15 minutes—you can guess how heavy my hoodie and jeans were afterwards. On Saturday, I stayed in bed all morning. Okay, not all morning. I got up from time to time to grab chocolate from the fridge, and for bathroom breaks. It’s hard work, you know, being lazy. On Sunday, I baby-sat my nephew Zander and tagged along with my mommy and daddy as they did grown-up stuff. I like doing the tagging along with my parents because it makes me look like a grown-up too. Also, because they hold hands and whisper, and seeing them happy makes me happy.

Why are you so weird?
I’d like to blame my family, or my teenage years, or our country’s dwindling economy. But unfortunately, there is no correct answer to this question.

Why are you so single?
Ahem. I am actually flattered when people ask me this, because it is usually followed by, “Siguro taas kaau ka ug standards,” and hello, having high standards is A Good Thing. Unfortunately, there is no correct answer to this question, either. Next, please.

What are your likes and dislikes?
I love coffee, cherry lip balm, purple ink, typing the very last word to an article/story, and clothes that don’t make me feel fat. I hate being hit smack on the face by girls who do the hair flip. And girls who do the hair flip, period. Come to think of it, I hate guys who do the hair flip more. I hate the hair flip in general, because my hair in its unblowdried/unironed state is never nice enough to flip. Boo.

Was the title of this entry inspired by Miley’s new single?
Yep. Almost everything about Miley Cyrus royally annoys me, but I actually find this song pretty cool. Mostly because, no matter how many times she denies this, it’s about Nick Jonas—and I heart Nick Jonas. I want to marry him and have cute little curly rockstar babies with him. But not now. Maybe in a few years, when he’s legal…

You make me love youuu,
Crizzy <3
